A paper straw can do 3 and 4 layers ,and depends on straw out diameter .
The diameter of 4mm or less can only do 3 layers of paper. Three or four layers can be selected according to strength needs.
There is a straw list .you can check the layer and paper width to make the right straw.

Grammage selection of paper
usually , paper straw has two grammage :60gsm and 120gsm .Whether 3 layers or 4 layers, the innermost layer is 60 grams.others 120grams.
Paper and glue used
The raw material of paper straw is made from coniferous and broadleaf pulp .It can be the food grade paper .
The glue is also food grade . After the mouth of the paper straws, are tested and qualified
